  • Thanks Marc and Toni,

Sometimes it is hard to remember in the hectic pace of life that the best part of it is the journey itelf and the company you keep along the way. Some might think that this doesn’t have a lot to do with our business which focusses on Electronics Design and Embedded Software Development for Australian Electronics Manufacturers but I have found that our clients are fantastic people to be sharing this journey with and we are looking forward to an excellent 2011 in partnership with them.

A little known fact in Australia is that manufacturing is the third largest segment of the economy, 50% bigger than mining, employs nearly 10 times as many people as mining and exports more than mining and agriculture combined. In Victoria it is the largest employer and in our local region of Casey it is the highest turnover sector. So we are doing our best to support it with world class Electronics Design that gives them a competitive edge locally and Internationally.

Thanks for the thoughful reminder and a well presented document with some keys to a happier and healthier 2011.

  • I appreciate both the download link, and the insightful comment by Ray Keefe. I did not know that manufacturing was so important to Austrailia, but it certainly makes sense. I love the new year as it unfolds new opportunities, fresh perspectives, and a chance to just move on from past mistakes.

I say move on, but not erase. I think it is important to keep those mistakes in mind to help make future decisions, but I think it is a bad idea to carry the guilt and sorrow around forever. This is a great download, and I am sure I will be referring to it a lot in the coming weeks.
