Michael Phelps is the GOAT of swimming… His records are legendary.
The video below is a must-watch to understand what it takes to be a true champion.
If you are not “winning” in your personal, professional or athletic life, you might want to ask yourself a few questions:
- Do you have a goal or dream you really, really want to accomplish?
- Why don’t you get up every morning with the same level of dedication as Michael?
- Do you know what you need to do to achieve your next level of performance?
- When you hold yourself back, do you hear yourself? What do you say to yourself?
- Do you need constant motivation and encouragement? Why?
Want to get into the spotlight? Here are a few things to consider:
- Who can help you? We all need coaches and mentors.
- What do you need to get started? Just making a list will help overcome inertia and build some momentum.
- Who can help you? A training buddy can be helpful – more than one is better, so that you don’t relay just on him/her!
- What do you need to learn to improve?
- What skills do you need to acquire?
- What can you read to save you time, money and effort?
- Who can you MIRROR in your chosen activity/sport?
- What can you do TODAY to get going and growing?
The difference between champions and non-champions is not WHO THEY ARE, BUT WHAT THEY DO.
Only 35% of athletic success is genetic (physical attributes)… So you can’t (usually) use that as an excuse!
The real question is – why would you NOT want to be a champion in your life/business/career/sport?
